Where do you live:
Redlands, CA
Child(s) Name & Age(s):
Zoe Jaimes 18 months (9/23/08)
Ezra Phoenix 4 weeks (3/16/10)
Whats your favorite thing about bein a mom?:
Observing. You can learn so much about yourself and who you are as a mom and as a person by observing your children. What they do and how they interact is a direct reflection to what environment you are providing them. (Except when it comes to the terrible 2's, cause really, you probably don't throw your body on the floor when you are out of bananas...)
Whats your least favorite thing about being a mom?:
Post-partum depression. It ruins your confidence about being a mother.
Tell us something unique about you:
I can breastfeed, change a toddler diaper and watch Maury all at the same time. This is a newfound talent.
Tell us why your kid is the bomb.com:
Zoe is the coolest kid I know. She's a performer. A true comedian and dramatic actress all wrapped up in one.
Ezra, so far, just sleeps, eats and shits which is cool, cause he doesn't give me any grief... Just engorgement.
One of your favorite "remedies/ or tricks of the trade"(for gas, teething,sleep,ANYTHING):
Cry out loud. Its not all rainbows and sunfuzzies whens it comes to motherhood. Zoe had colic for 6 months straight, I had PPD and it sucked. When I cried, I cried hard. Don't bottle it up, cause you will become crazy. My suggestion is; when you've had a rough day put the kids down (somewhere safe, of course) go to your room, grab a pillow and scream as hard and as loud as you can into that pillow. Allow yourself 10 minutes of uncontrollable crying, then wipe your tears and proceed with your day. It feels so freeing. Hell, I did it the other day and felt 1000x better.
